The Swede project is a really fun way for students to learn movie editing techniques. The Swede project is based on the film, “Be Kind Rewind,” where the characters remake ALL the movies after the VHS tapes get erased. The remade videos are so BAD they become classics.

This Google Slides tutorial that will show your students examples of Sweded films, and the process of how to create your own.

These techniques will be perfect for preparing for student film festivals, like the California Student Media Festival and the Global Student Voice Film Festival.
