The purpose of this project was to allow the students to create an advertisement for a book they created based on the book “Frindle,” by Andrew Clements. You’ll see three groups of 3rd grade students presenting their commercial.
The students were so proud to be able to talk about their very own book. Each student made up their own word and created a page in the book. Their librarian bound the book for them and placed it in the library.
This is a concept that could apply to grades K-12. While these children were 3rd graders, I think with enough support, even Kindergarten students could talk about their books.
