How to add audio in video

Start a new project in the WeVideo app or online video editor. Or start with a video template instead!

Upload a new audio or video file from your device or choose a song, soundtrack, or sound effect from our stock library. Then drag and drop your clips to the Timeline to get started editing.

Time to add music! Click into the Audio submenu to find an audio track for any mood: sad, happy, playful, relaxing...anything. (Audio tracks are categorized by mood to help ya out.) 

If the sound or background music is shorter than your video, auto-loop the audio for an easy end-to-end solution.

After adding music in our app or video editing software, you can continue editing to add transitions, text, annotations, and more. Just drag any feature down to your Timeline.

When you're done, choose your preferred video resolution and export your new video with music. Done!

When it comes to saving your video, you can export your clip with sound however you want it: MP4, GIF, or even audio-only MP3. Choose the right video resolution, too, so that your file is well-sized to upload anywhere.

With our video editor, yes! Simply upload all your media clips to your video project and then drag them to your Timeline. You can place clips on individual tracks (allowing you to layer them), or you can place them on the same track and then merge them with transitions.

Definitely! However, do be aware of copyright laws in your region. Most social media platforms will remove videos that use copyrighted music without explicit and obvious permission.
