/ Nitesh Dutt

We’re a third of the way through 2021, you’ve set new records and hit some significant goals so far, but now it’s time to end Q1 on a high note.

Luckily, you don’t have to go searching for ideas. We have a blog of some holidays, well-known and obscure that you can plan your marketing around for March.

March 8 - International Women’s Day

Every year we celebrate March as Women’s History Month, which includes International Women’s Day on March 8. This global day of celebration marks the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Groups worldwide come together to celebrate women’s accomplishments and call for women’s equality and it is a day to fundraise for female-focused charities. Every year there is a theme and this year it is #ChooseToChallenge.

March 14 - Pi Day

Who doesn’t love pie? Wait, we’re not talking about the dessert? Oh, I guess we still love that Pi. The annual celebration of Pi Day is observed every March 14 because it’s the first three digits (3.14) of the mathematical constant π. The best way to enjoy this day is with everyone’s favorite dessert, cake! I’m kidding; it’s pie. From pumpkin and apple to rhubarb and cherry, get your social channels involved and you can find a creative (and delicious) way to celebrate this day.

March 15 - #WCRD2021 (World Consumer Rights Day)

Inspired by President John F. Kennedy’s message to the US Congress on March 15, 1962, addressing consumer rights, World Consumers Rights Day was marked as an important day in 1983. It’s a means to raise global awareness about consumer rights and needs. The celebration is an opportunity to demand the rights of all consumers are respected and protected and a chance to protest against market injustices that undermine consumer rights.

March 23 - #NationalPuppyDay

Every month should have a day dedicated to puppies, sadly there is only one and it’s in March. National Puppy Day was established in March of 2006 and is a day for all dog enthusiasts to share, fawn over and love all the adorable pups in the world. It's not like anyone will pass up an opportunity to pet or even see a dog. The day is designed to raise awareness about puppy mills and help prospective owners consider adoption.

March 29 - Mom & Pop Business Owners Day

This day celebrates all the long hours put in by small business owners trying to get by. Businesses that are family-owned and integral part of their community. They take the time to get to know their customers and add value to wherever they are. Highlight a small business owner you appreciate or frequent to show appreciation and send a little more business their way. The backbone of every community is those that help lift it to new heights. That’s what these mom and pop stores are and that’s why we celebrate Mom & Pop Business Owners Day.
